A true fairy tale wedding inspired by Beauty and the Beast! Ambir and Shannon’s day was a dream! Read more about it below!
How did you meet?
“We worked together at the same office. He was the I.T. , I was the graphic designer.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“We were on a date at The Concourse to see the band 10 years. After the concert, we were walking back to the car and I tripped and fell, he caught me and the rest is history.”
What is your favorite quality in your husband?
“He goes out of his way to be kind to people. He is just such a genuine person.”
Hardest part of wedding planning?
“Coordinating the wedding party to get everyone fitted for tuxes and dresses. A Lot of our wedding party was from out of town and the members who live in town work jobs long hours and odd hours making it difficult to get people together before the day of.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“It was a lovely understated nod to beauty and the beast.”
How about your dress or attire?
“It was semi formal attire for guests. Black tie for the wedding party. The groom wore a navy suit with black lapels ( very Justin Timberlake). The groomsmen wore matching navy suits but with more understated lapels. My bridal party wore Ice Blue dresses in their chosen style from Davids Bridal. I wore a Stella York ball gown- modified by The Perfect Fit Alterations with a custom long sleeve on one side for an asymmetrical one of a kind look.”
What was the most memorable moment?
“We did a first look before the ceremony. It was sunset. That light, and his smile just made everything feel magical.”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“‘Yes’ by Demi Lovato. Between the spot on lyrics and the beat it was the perfect song to dance a slow rumba to.”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“‘Let love light the way’. We chose glow sticks because we had so many families with kids on our guest list. It was perfect for keeping kids entertained, and ideal for a memorable exit. All of the guests lined up in the evening outside of Jackson Terminal and cheered us on. The glow sticks illuminated us making for some really beautiful photos.”
