The collaboration among vendors working together as one team to create magical experiences for our couples and make dreams come true. It truly takes a village. No one vendor could pull off an event by themselves. It’s the collective effort of everyone working seamlessly and tirelessly to make sure our couples day goes off without a hitch. After endless hours of hard work, we see our creative ideas come to life and our couples faces just glow. It’s those moments that make it all worth it.

What is your favorite wedding season?

Summer

What is your favorite thing about working in the wedding industry?

What is your favorite wedding season?

Fall.”

When did you open your business?

What makes your business unique?

“The building was constructed from 1919-1921, as a home for Mr. C. R. Boyce, a successful Memphis cotton buyer. The architectural firm of Walk C. Jones, Sr. and Max Furbringer designed the residence, which is described as Memphis’ finest example of Italian-Mediterranean residential architecture.

The simplified stucco structure is situated on beautifully sculpted lawns and surrounded by stately oaks and gracious gardens that are accentuated by two gazebos and a large fountain. Inside, a grand hallway traverses the first floor, rising to a large landing accentuated with a Palladian window.

The interior beauty includes a marvelous mixture of form and detail in various cornices, moldings and trim. The home was a residence until 1979, when it was renovated as offices for a local company. In 1991, the Junior League of Memphis purchased the property, which is now on the National Register of Historic Places.”

Kelly and Carter planned their wedding around their love for the outdoors and National Parks. Having an outdoor wedding also allowed them to keep their special day safe and fun for all their guests during a pandemic. Read all about the details below!

How did you meet?

We are high school sweethearts!  My good friend was dating his good friend and they thought it would be cute to set us up on a date.

When did you know you were falling in love?

I knew he was the one when he fit in so perfectly with my four brothers, who are my best friends in the world.

What is your favorite quality in your husband?

His favorite quality about her is her selflessness and undying support for him, as well as her adventurous spirit and ability to make him smile.  Her favorite quality about him is the lightheartedness between them and his ability to make her excited to go out of her comfort zone and try new things.

Hardest part of wedding planning?

Trying to adjust our plans to make our special day as safe but memorable as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?

Our wedding was National Park themed.  We have a goal to visit every National Park in the United States together, and the Smoky Mountains was the very first one we went to as a couple.  All of our tables were labeled as different National Parks rather than the traditional numbers.  We also wanted our wedding to be lighthearted and fun outside enjoying nature, so we kept it casual with cornhole games, Disney music, and breakfast-for-dinner.

How about your dress or attire?

I wore my grandmother’s earrings and necklace because she could not be there to see her only granddaughter get married due to Covid-19.  This was her way of still being with me as I walked down the aisle.

What was the most memorable moment?

The exit down the aisle after the ceremony.  All of our friends and family showered us with rose petals, we stopped for some great pictures of the bride holding up her bouquet in the air, and we stopped for an encore kiss halfway down the aisle.  Oh, and the song “Married Life” from Disney Pixar’s Up was playing!

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?

Never Break by John Legend because after having been together for over 7 years, we had been through thick and thin together.

Tell us about your grand exit!

After the ceremony, our guests threw flower petals at us.  After the reception, our guests lined up and waved glow sticks in the dark.

Best wishes Kelly & Carter from The Pink Bride!

How did you meet?

“My older brother, John, convinced me to tag along with him and his friends to go riding in the snow. There he introduced me to Hughston. I reluctantly went, but in the end I’m so glad I did because I ended up meeting the man I was going to marry. John ended up being Hughston’s best man in the wedding.”

When did you know you were falling in love?

“Growing up, I always wanted to marry someone just like my daddy that put the Lord first and always showed love and respect towards my mom. As our relationship grew I realized that Hughston had all of these qualities, and I knew I couldn’t live without him. He’s my best friend.”

What is your favorite quality in your husband?

“My favorite quality about Hughston is how he has treated me with such respect from day one.”

Hardest part of wedding planning?

“Wedding planning was like a dream for me thanks to my wedding planner Abby Stridde and my mom. Everything was so organized that there was no stress, so I was truly able to enjoy and remember every single moment on my wedding day and I will cherish that forever. I went to the Pink Bride show after I got engaged and that was the perfect jumpstart to my wedding planning bliss!”

Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?

“My grandparents gave me the gift of hosting my reception on their property, which made it that much more special since I grew up playing there. Their home was transformed into a beautiful garden courtyard. The bistro lights above us and the trees around us made it feel like a dream.”

How about your dress or attire?

“My wedding dress was elegant, classy, and timeless. My favorite part of the dress was the big bow on the back – a tribute to the dress my mom wore when she married my dad.”

What was the most memorable moment?

“One of the most memorable moments was the church doors opening up and I looked down the aisle to see the expression on Hughston’s face. The other was when my nine little flower girls danced down the aisle. I looked at them and it made me think of when I was a little girl dreaming in my own little world.”

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?

“Be My Forever by Christina Perri. We chose this more upbeat, fun song because we wanted to set the tone for the fun, adventurous life we have ahead of us. In that moment surrounded by family and friends under the twinkling bistro lights, everything was perfect. We felt like we were on top of the world.”

Tell us about your grand exit!

“All our guests were lined up along the walkway as we stepped out the grand front doors that night. There were bubbles, kisses and so much love in the air as we jumped in the Model T off on our first night together and the beginning of our new forever!”

Allie and Joe combined elegance and nature to have a beautiful, formal outdoor wedding! They truly felt like it was their special place just for the two of them. Check out more details below!

How did you meet?

“We both attended Purdue University at the same time, but never met as students. A few years after graduation, we met at homecoming in 2014 through mutual friends and the rest is history!”

When did you know you were falling in love?

“It was pretty much love at first sight, and we knew deep down that there wasn’t anyone else for us almost from the start. Joe lived in Chicago and Allie lived in Indianapolis, so it was a long time of long distance dating – driving 6 hours for a weekend visit means you really have to like someone! Joe is also allergic to cats and Allie has two, so he started photoshopping pictures of himself covered in cats to show his commitment. He has overcome his allergy and one of the cats has claimed his as his own after over 5 years!”

What is your favorite quality in your husband?

“Allie loves Joe’s level-headed nature and how he always goes above and beyond to make her feel special and loved. Joe values Allie’s ability to love and care deeply for him and others.”

Hardest part of wedding planning?

“The hardest part of planning was being an out-of-state and COVID bride – we had a wedding fully planned that fell through in Indiana and had to completely redo everything in a short time. Not being able to see the space or meet our vendors was nerve-wracking too, but after talking with the venue and planner, we felt like we were with family.”

Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?

“We went with an elegant outdoor feel, wanting the mountains and surrounding nature to be the focus. We also wanted it to make the space feel more formal, adding golds and romantic florals to elevate the space. We loved being able to personalize the decor and space so much, it really felt like our special place just for us!”

How about your dress or attire?

“I had a wedding dress ordered for our plan A wedding, along with our groomsmen tuxes and bridesmaids dresses, and they actually fit in perfectly with the plan B wedding! Going with the fancier attire helped make our wedding feel more formal and special for us.”

What was the most memorable moment?

“The most memorable moment for us was planning for an outdoor wedding, but having to change last minute to another area at the Magnolia 10 minutes before the ceremony started. Everyone just kind of grabbed a chair or flower arrangement and made the move – it ended up being even more beautiful than we could’ve imagined! My bridal salon also set up a Zoom meeting with Hayley Paige and I got to talk to her about my dress that she created – such a cool experience that our salon made possible for us COVID brides!”

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?

“Our first dance was to “”Speechless”” by Dan + Shay with Tori Kelly. Country music has a special place in my heart, and being in the motherland of country music, it felt like a perfect fit. I love original songs with a twist, and the addition of Tori Kelly on the track made it feel so much more romantic!”

Tell us about your grand exit!

“We walked back down the aisle as husband and wife to Jackie Wilson’s “”(Your Love Is Lifting Me) Higher”” and a flurry of confetti from confetti cannons placed on each guest’s chair – we printed instruction on the back of our program to make sure we didn’t have any premature explosions!”
